In 1941, Gluosnis kills a Jewish man called Isaac at the Lietukis Garage massacre. He goes unpunished until years later, when his friend, a film director, makes a movie about the killings. The film pushes the Soviet Lithuanian KGB to launch an investigation into the massacre, and Gluosnis is tortured by guilt and haunting images of the past. Finally, he realises that he must come to terms with his past.
